Product Description
Available for free from flurry.com, Flurry is the premier mobile email and news application for consumer handsets. It offers unparalleled ease of use on small form-factor devices, allowing consumers to get the information they want on the cell phones that they already have. Flurry is being used today in 97 countries on more than 250 mobile phone models.
Market Opportunity
Mobile phones are changing the way people keep in touch and get the information they need. Flurry offers the nearly 200 million cell phone subscribers in the United States and the 2 billion cell phone subscribers worldwide access to their email and news while they are on the go.
DEMO Says
Mobile application vendors are quick to cite very big numbers for the installed base of mobile phones—nevermind that many of these phones lack the ability to run their applications. Flurry can make a righteous claim to big market size, however, because the company has designed its applications to run on the vast majority of phones in common use today. In so doing, Flurry is delivering a blackberry-like email experience to ordinary cell phones, and it’s doing so with a “freemium” that leaves little money on the table.
