Product Description
STEPware Auto is a directional remote voice pickup system, specifically optimized for car kits. This patented microphone array technology uses the information about the shape of the sound waves and their time of arrival to the microphones to isolate and separate the voice from ambient noises. STEPware Auto delivers crystal clear and clean voice signal, free of noise and distortion. Therefore, we enable clear and reliable hands-free communications and near-perfect voice recognition performance anytime, anywhere.
Market Opportunity
The continuous growth in the mobile phone and wireless industries worldwide, particularly Bluetooth, is driving the Bluetooth handsfree kit industry. Regulations (Europe, Asia and soon the U.S.) that prohibit the use of mobile phones while driving, provide the biggest catalyst for an uptake in demand for Bluetooth handsfree kits.

STEP Labs’ acoustics and signal processing technology deliver incredible audio quality in the harshest environments. Beyond noise canceling, the STEP Labs technology eliminates ambient noise while retaining voice quality true enough to deliver accurate speech recognition via a mobile headset. The technology will roll out in a range of OEM products, and at DEMO, we’ll highlight the toughest of challenges: great audio performance in a hands-free car kit. This technology is essential as new laws require hands-free calling and as new automobiles feature voice control capabilities.
