- Product Description
- DOTGO is a new mobile publishing platform that makes it easy for anyone with an internet domain name from individuals to large corporations -- to rapidly and cheaply publish information using a variety of mobile technologies, with an initial focus on text messaging. DOTGO solves the problems restricting the growth of text messaging as a content publishing medium, including lack of branding (e.g. text to 44144 for Delta.com), high cost, and complex technology.
- Market Opportunity
- eMarketer forecasts the annual U.S. spend for text message-based content dissemination and advertising to grow from $1.5 billion in 2008 to $4.5 billion by 2012. The predicted mobile Web advertising spend is expected to grow from $192 million in 2008 and $2 billion in 2012.
- DEMO Says
- DOTGO is an elegant solution to the cumbersome and brand-challenged SMS short code system that allows brands to leverage the equity in their domain names while delivering an immediate, mobile experience to their customers. The platform, along with the Concise Message Routing Language (CMRL) could be the key that unlocks SMS as an advertising and service channel for brands and businesses large and small.
