- The Intellifit System uses low-power radio waves to measure fully-clothed shoppers in about ten seconds and then recommend best-fitting apparel brands, styles and sizes. The Intellifit Network of participating brands and retailers, plus the ease of use for the consumer, will make Intellifit the ultimate search engine for clothing.
- Market Opportunity
- The global apparel market is over $600B per year and 62% of US shoppers complain that they cannot find clothes that fit. Returns of catalog and online orders, the fastest growing sales channel, are in excess of 30% due to fit. Over $8B is spent annually on alterations. Intellifit will improve the consumer shopping experience, the profitability of retailers and manufacturers, and the efficiency of the entire apparel design and supply chain process.

- “The Intellifit System is deceptive. On the surface, it is a niche consumer service — sizing clothing for specialty retailers. That, alone, may not be a large market, but the sizing data collected by these scanners could become valuable information for the multi-billion dollar clothing industry, among others. But, there’s still more. The radio wave technology can be tuned to even more precise measures, creating a non-invasive, but highly effective body scanner for security applications. Given the reaction to FAA pat downs in airports, my guess is that Intellifit will find a big win in that market.”
