- LiveVault InControl Remote Office Backup and Recovery is the first diskbased backup and recovery solution that automates and integrates the entire data protection workflow, protecting remote office data without involving remote office staff. LiveVault InControl gives corporate data centers centralized control of remote servers through a fully automated solution that manages backup, offsite storage, archiving and recovery. LiveVault InControl puts headquarters in charge, with remote data securely stored at headquarters, and easily managed via LiveVault’s Web Management Portal. LiveVault InSync Backup and Recovery Service is the first disk-based backup and recovery solution that automates and integrates the entire data protection workflow for small and medium businesses. LiveVault InSync removes the failure of tape through a fully automated,continuous and guaranteed service that manages server backup, offsite storage, archiving and recovery. LiveVault InSync also features an onsite rapidrecovery appliance, so data is both safely vaulted offsite, and fully available locally for immediate recovery.

- Because businesses today run on their data, companies annually spend over $3B on tape backup. Yet analysts report that tape fails to recover data 40-50% of the time. “We have found that up to 40% of backups fail because of a mixture of issues, including configuration issues, full disks and file systems, and path and network problems,” says Jamie Gruener, senior analyst with The Yankee Group.
