- ActiveWords InkPad Version 1.5 allows users to control their Tablet PC by writing words with the stylus, extending ActiveWords functionality already available from the keyboard. For example, use the stylus to write “weather” and visit a weather Web site or write “excel” to open Microsoft Excel. Word/action relationships operate identically using either keyboard or stylus. ActiveWords InkPad validates the power of ActiveWords across input modalities and computing platforms, from desktop to notebook, to Tablet PC, and eventually to handhelds and cell phones.
