Product Description

ComVU is unveiling the world’s first mobile Webcasting service from a mobile device or PDA to a global audience and in so doing has pioneered two fields: the patent-pending Bandwidth Exchange system — a fully automated media streaming product — and ComVU Mobile software that turns the Smartphone into an “active” broadcasting device. Easy to use and affordable, ComVU Mobile is available to consumers and enterprise users to instantly broadcast events as they happen, in any location.

Market Opportunity

ComVU targets camera phone users representing 38% of all 2004 handset sales, reports Strategy Analytics. The mobile data services market, which Strategic Analytics estimates today at $64 billion to grow to $211 billion by 2009, requires new applications such as video broadcasting to drive user demand.

Demo Says

ComVU is establishing itself as a disruptor of the Webcasting market by offering an automated, self-service Webcasting platform that substantially reduces the cost to broad- or narrowcast video and other programming over the Web. ComVU Mobile further changes the dynamics by enabling anyone to initiate a video Webcast from a mobile phone or other portable platform. ComVU will find numerous applications in business, and I’m particularly eager to see how ComVU Mobile spawns a new breed of citizen journalists.
