Our team has self-funded more than $200,000. We have built the SkyBOX betademo, assembled a great management team, finalized our partnerships, and are ready to test with several teams/leagues (MLB, NFL, NBA, PGA and soccer). We are seeking $1 million in our Seed Round, with a total of $5.8 million over three rounds. Among other things, the Seed Round will allow us to develop the prototype and test in at least eight stadiums.

Vivid Sky’s SkyBOX gives the power back to the fans’ in the stands — once reserved for those at home on their couch. Imagine never missing another play (on-demand instant replays), eliminating concession lines (ordering and delivery to your location), and discovering everything about your team (stats, bios, infographics). This and more can be found on the SkyBOX rugged handheld or your PDA. Meanwhile, teams and advertisers will increase revenue, lower costs and identify true ROI.

Market Opportunity

Instead of the billions of sports fans around the world, our initial target market is the more than 130 million fans that spend over $5 billion annually at MLB, NBA, NHL and NFL events. In addition, we will target the advertisers/sponsors. In 2004, the top 10 sponsors spent more than $1.5 billion in sports advertising — up at least 16.5% each year the past five years, according to SportsBusiness Journal.

After paying for stadium seats, you shouldn’t end up knowing less about the game than those watching from home. And you shouldn't miss a great play because you need a refresh on your beverage. Vivid Sky’s stats, video replay and concession and merchandise services put every ticket holder in the best seat in the house. But its biggest innovation may be a business model that helps non-profit groups benefit from working with the company.
