Product Description

The HeyLetsGo website, initially available for Boston, connects users with local events and an active local community to help them make the most of their offline social life. The website uses patent-pending technology to show the best events going on and to help users identify others with shared interests. Users can post and rate events, and share event photos and videos. Together, users create an up-to-the-minute guide to what’s happening and to what’s hot around town.

Market Opportunity

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are 50 million urban 25- to 40-year-olds, for whom social life is the #1 priority. Forrester Research estimates this group’s lifestyle expenditure at $600 billion, including events, ticketing, dining and leisure travel; $50 billion is spent on lifestyle ads targeting this group.

Demo Says

HeyLetsGo.com is the Evite for people who don’t know whom they want to invite, but who know they want to get out and go. The service resonates on several levels. It is a social network centered on events and members’ interests in them, rather than the members themselves. It targets the attractive demographic of the tech-savvy 25 to 40 year-olds, and it has the potential for an interesting roll-out business model as the service expands from its “hub of the Universe” Boston base to other locations throughout the U.S. and beyond.
