According to Forrester’s annual State of Consumers and technology: Benchmark 2006 data overview, 31% of consumers spend an hour or more a day on social networking sites. Social computing activities are also what set younger consumers apart, as younger consumers are more likely to instant message and read blogs than older consumers.
