MobileSphere is a provider of global telecommunications solutions that leverage the migration from fixed to mobile communications. Its new product Joopz is a Web-based text-messaging service that enables two-way communication from a PC to any mobile phone and back. The service allows users to send and receive messages to individuals and groups, while enabling recipients to respond directly to the originating PC, a mobile phone and group members’ mobile phones. Joopz also features text reminders, scheduled message delivery and message forwarding.

Market Opportunity

The market for text messaging is one of the fastest-growing sectors of the communications industry. Today over 60 billion messages per month are sent worldwide (Informa telecom). In the United States, 48.7 billon text messages were sent during the last six months of 2005, up 97% from the same period in 2004 (CTIA).
