Product Description

LeapTag is a Web-content discovery tool that uses tagging to enable people to find Websites, news and blogs that match their individual interests in complete privacy. Users create tags to define their interests. LeapTag uses those tags to scour the Internet in search of matching content. Users vote on the resulting content suggestions, which trains LeapTag to recognize the information considered the most relevant to the user. Tags can be shared by groups of people with mutual interests.

Market Opportunity

According to the March 2006 study by the Pew Internet trust, there are 50 million people getting their daily news online. However, the repetition and lack of diversity found on major news sites can be frustrating, and social news sites don’t allow individuals to follow the stories that are most relevant to them.

Demo Says

Personalization is nothing new to the web, but until now the power to tailor content to your interests resided with sites that maintained a log of your preferences. Yoriwa puts the power of adaptive personalization into the individual’s hands, allowing him to tune and apply preferences across the entire Internet. Yoriwa is a personal information-discovery tool and a must-have plug-in for Firefox and Internet Explorer.
