Product Description

User-Generated Video (UGV) is fueling a dramatic growth in video views and video uploads on the Internet. Magnify.net empowers online publishers to integrate UGV into their existing Web offerings. Each site can create a UGV channel that harnesses the talents of its existing enthusiasts/visitors within verticals, to generate better content, more relevant viewing and new opportunities for targeted rich-media ads.

Market Opportunity

Following similar trends in television and magazines, the growth of high-traffic niche vertical content sites will attract advertisers looking to micro-target audiences. Online video spend is estimated to increase to $2.9 billion in the U.S. by 2010. In addition, Magnify.net’s revenue-sharing model encourages channel and network creation. While Google generated $1.4 billion in gross online advertising revenue in CQ2, it paid out $494 million to partners like AOL, Ask Jeeves and iVillage. Magnify.net is poised to take advantage of both overall ad spend and partner pay-out.

Demo Says

As more video moves to the Web, the need intensifies to find, rank and aggregate video content in meaningful ways. Magnify.net is not just about better video search technology. It’s not about becoming an uberaggregtor of video, either, although we could argue a case for both. Instead, Magnify.net is about facilitating the creation and attachment of metadata such that video can be more easily found and used to create more relevant, engaging viewer experiences. Magnify.net’s approach will drive viewers deeper into video sites and insure that great content in the “long tail” is found.
