Product Description

Me.dium is a free browser sidebar that reveals the hidden world of people and activity behind each user’s browser. Me.dium reveals a social exploration environment that allows users to communicate with friends and others in a natural, contextual manner. By comparing what the user is doing with what others are doing, it lets users see what else is around them and relevant—all in real-time.

Market Opportunity

By fundamentally changing the way people interact online, Me.dium will be the first real player to bring a natural, contextual human layer into the online experience. By revealing a social exploration environment for the first time, the online experience shifts from a page-based interaction to a task-based experience that opens the door for entirely new and unique products and services in the online space.

Demo Says

Some say that while the Internet brings people together, it also isolates them by virtue of the individual way in which people surf sites. Me.dium proposes to change that by bringing a human touch to your Web experience. Based on a series of complex algorithms, Me.dium enables Web surfers to see and engage with others whose online activities mirror their own. Still searching for a business model, this company has the potential to offer serious disruption both to the way people interact on the Internet and the way companies (translation: advertisers) find them.
