Product Description

Mobio creates Mobile 2.0 mash-up applications that act as if they know the user. Mobio’s platform enables partners to rapidly create new applications that combine the convenience and efficiency of multiple content sources. Using only the tastiest bits of content from various Web services, Mobio builds 1:1 personalized applications based on an individual’s tastes as well as demographic and geographic information. Consumers can use Mobio applications in three clicks or less with minimal or no data entry.

Market Opportunity

The Gartner Group cites 200 million Internet-enabled mobile phones in circulation throughout the United States, but research by Telephia shows that only 20 million people surf the Internet from their phones regularly. Shrinking a desktop browser to the small screen has been a failure. Companies must find a way to deliver compelling and easy-to-use Web content to the handset.
