Product Description

Generate’s gClick dynamically extracts information about companies, executives and events from any Web page (such as Google, The Wall Street Journal, Microsoft Outlook, LinkedIn) and provides consumers with personalized, comprehensive and contextual information including how each user connects to companies and executives via relationship-mapping technology. Within seconds, consumers can go from reading an article anywhere on the Web to viewing in-depth intelligence about the entities and events mentioned within that article.

Market Opportunity

A 2007 report by Outsell forecasts that Search, Aggregation, and Syndication (SAS) will have a compound annual growth rate of 17.3% from 2006 through 2009, achieving $68 billion in revenues.

Demo Says

While Internet personalization is a booming sector, it’s primarily been restricted to two specific areas, content and commerce, for mass-market consumers. Generate’s g8 Toolbar changes that by merging social networking with contextual targeting. g8 constantly trawls the Web collecting information on executive changes, product announcements, and company events such as mergers and acquisitions. It then matches that information to online news, presenting readers with an enterprise-class social network at their fingertips. It’s LinkedIn on steroids and it’s one of the most inventive and highly useful applications of Web 2.0 technology we’ve seen to date.
