Product Description

Tungle users can quickly and easily coordinate meetings with anyone. Tungle reduces the amount of communication ordinarily needed to schedule meetings by allowing users to view the availability of their contacts before sending them an invitation. We are the first application to work across organizations, independent of the calendar or groupware system used.

Market Opportunity

IDC estimates that Microsoft Exchange with Outlook and Lotus Domino with Notes account for 90% of the $2 billion-plus groupware market. As the first meeting coordination product to natively work with Exchange, Notes and Google Calendar, Tungle is addressing a significant and established market with a complimentary software as a service.

We were skeptical that Tungle would solve a sticky problem that so many had failed to fix in the past. We’ve been pleasantly surprised. Tungle peels away the complexity to offer a lightweight and effective solution for meeting scheduling, without sacrificing calendar compatibility or demanding workflow changes. While the base service is offered free to users, the company has many ways to monetize a large community of people planning and meeting with one another, either through direct meeting support products such as conferencing tools or ancillary meeting support services and marketing. This is a product we intend to use.
