Consumers of online news are growing twice as fast as the overall Internet audience. NAA reported 59 million monthly news site users during the first quarter of 2007, a 5.3% year-on-year increase.

- Silobreaker launched its current affairs search engine months ago and was unfortunately lumped in with the raft of Google/Powerset/ Hakia competitors. Its real power lies in its sophisticated algorithm that drills into topics and entities deeper than we’ve yet seen. I love this new site, I already include it in my news gathering along with Google news and Technorati. It's even better because I can steal charts and graphs to include when presenting about any given topic.
