- Product Description
- Alerts.com reduces information overload on the Web by delivering alerts and reminders to consumers on their terms and in the context of their lives. Alerts.com aggregates content from multiple sources eliminating the need to manage multiple accounts and profiles. Alerts.com delivers a variety of alerts (news, sports, airfare, weather, gas prices, etc.) via e-mail, SMS and voice. Alerts.com monetizes its free, opt-in service via highly targeted ads embedded in the messages.
- Market Opportunity
- Mobile-message advertising expected to reach $1.5 billion by 2008, up 82% from last year, (eMarketer). Internet Advertising is $20 billion of which consumer advertisers represent $14 billion, (IAB). The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) estimates that ad spend on e-mail marketing will generate $21.9 billion in sales, an 18.3% increase since 2006.
- DEMO Says
- Lists, Post-It Notes, calendar entries, RSS feeds, strings around fingers…and still we miss too many important events, vital information, and to-dos. Alerts.com’s cross-channel reminder and alerting service assures that we’ll not miss an important thing again, or at the very least will have no excuse for doing so. The ad-supported business will do well as a highly-relevant and content-rich marketing platform, but it’s the service’s potential to become the open alert aggregator for any Web application that makes it a real winner.
