- Product Description
- mobiShow is a device built on the mTVic platform which provides an easy-to-setup, efficient and cost-effective wireless solution to migrate PC and SmartPhones applications to TV. By connecting a PC or SmartPhone to a mobiShow device via WiFi, it will wirelessly stream HD movies, project the Desktop, transcode any video format on-the-fly, or integrate any internet services. The mTVic platform is to be opened for application designers, content providers and device makers.
- Market Opportunity
- The DigiTimes reported that SmartPhones shipped 152 million units last year, and will grow at 32.32% in 2008 and 35.8% in 2009. In-Stat said Smartphones will grow at over 30% for the next five years. We expect mobiShow and other mTVic-enabled devices will reach 50% over the next few years.
- DEMO Says
- Born of expertise in delivering high-definition, PC-based presentations to the television screen, mobiShow makes it easy to discover and watch IP-based video. Interesting enough. But it’s the transcoding of PC-based video into high-definition video scaled to fit the television screen that makes Awind’s offering remarkable. We predict a successful direct-to-consumer offering and anticipate the integration of this technology into many other consumer products.
