Green Sherpa combines elements of Quicken and Excel to create a powerful, user-friendly online service; users can also use the Discuss feature to collaborate on finances with a spouse, financial planner or CPA.
- Market Opportunity
- Our customer is the discerning personal financial management software user. Javalin Research reported 88 million U.S. individuals were banking online by end of 2007, however, adoption of online banking was beginning to plateau. According to Jupiter Research, personal financial management is the single most requested feature among online banking users.

- Twenty years ago, I plunged into online banking, writing a feature titled “I Threw Away My Checkbook.” After working with Green Sherpa, I might well reprise that story, titling it “I Tossed Out Quicken.” Green Sherpa has achieved the ease and rich benefit of online finance software that seems to have eluded the industry leader, and has outpaced upstart contenders by focusing on the core finance management capabilities first, online wizardry second.
