Recently raised a new round of $50 million of equity finance led by existing investors Oak Investment Partners and Amadeus Capital Partners and all other existing investors in 2008. To date, the company has raised more than $200 million.

Product Description
Plastic Logic is using proprietary plastic electronics technology to create products that enable information access, organization and consumption. Its first product, due in the market early in 2009, provides a portable digital reading experience for work, education and recreation that is better than paper. The Plastic Logic product is based on its plastic electronic display, distinguished by its large display size, thin depth, low weight, long battery life, and robustness.
Market Opportunity
Plastic Logic's fundamental technology has the potential to transform products and the economics of key segments of the electronics industry by applying organic electronics on thin, flexible plastic substrates. The Plastic Electronics Industry is forecast to be a $30 billion industry by 2015 by IDTechEX.
DEMO Says
In what is likely the first commercial product based on plastic electronics technology, the Plastic Logic smart display takes the electronic document reader category of product in an exciting new direction. The lightweight, full-sized, sleek-butrugged display is peripheral to smart phones, laptops, Internet and storage devices, making it the right display for active documents, email and media. The plastics electronics technology should prove cost effective and drive this product – in this and other formats – to mass adoption.
