Welcome

DEMO is the launchpad for emerging technologies both as conferences in the U.S., Europe, and China and as a news and information Web site. DEMO conferences and news coverage are where digital entrepreneurs and investors change the game and stay ahead of the curve.

DEMO news stories track the thousands of companies and digital products launched at DEMO conferences worldwide, as well as their competitors. We write about the trends disrupting the markets' status quo. Our stories are about the entrepreneurs, inventors, investors, and the products of their digital ingenuity that we all use to work, learn, and enjoy ourselves.

Besides news stories, videos, podcasts, and commentary by Chris Shipley, ceo of The Guidewire Group and executive producer of DEMO conferences in the U.S., the DEMO Web site offers tech watchers new features: more news stories and blogs; DEMOdeals, which tracks start-up funding; DEMO Alumni Feeds, coverage by bloggers about companies that have launched at a DEMO conference; DEMOwords, a weekly interactive technology crossword puzzle; DEMOdialog, a conversation between DEMO-launched companies and their followers; and DEMOshots, slideshows of people in the news or at tech events.

DEMO is part of International Data Group (IDG), the world's leading technology media, events, and research company. IDG's online network embraces more than 450 news Web sites covering business technology, consumer technology, digital entertainment, and video gaming. IDG publishes more than 300 magazines and newspapers in 85 countries.

Tell Your Story

Got a new product that you want the world to know about? Is your company disrupting the status quo or leading a new trend? Or maybe you’ve got some breaking news about funding you want to share - let DEMO know! News releases are welcome.

To submit a story idea, send an email to Mary A. C. Fallon, editor-in-chief: mfallon@demo.com.

For other inquiries, visit our Contact Us information.

  1. If you plan to submit your story to multiple bloggers and news reporters, we advised that you submit to DEMO first - even a few hours of advanced notice is sufficient. Exclusives and tip-offs are rewarded with highest priority.
  2. DEMO is a news site. A submission about a product that launches this week will get coverage faster than one that launched two months ago.
  3. If you suggest an older service or product as a story, please have a newsworthy angle such as a new feature, new market, or a market penetration milestone to talk about. We like people stories too.
  4. DEMO videos, podcasts, and stories can be posted on your Web site.
  5. Use the social networking features and email at the end of your story to spread the word.
  6. Stories appearing on DEMO are also submitted to the IDG News Service so other IDG news outlets can publish them.

Express Your Views

We welcome your feedback about DEMO news reports and the companies that launch products at DEMO conferences worldwide.

Join the DEMO community so each time you log in, your name appears with your comments.

Each company that has launched at DEMO conferences since 2004 has a profile and a "join the discussion" tab where anyone can write comments. Each time a comment is submitted, a contact person at that specific company gets an email alert so they can respond quickly to your question or comment about their product.

Anyone can subscribe to any company’s dialogue to track what people are saying.
