Staff

Jackie DiPerna - Network WorldIt is important to our team that your DEMO experience be a successful and enjoyable one. Jackie DiPerna of Network World will be your primary contact in the Pavilion. She will assist you with any problems, questions or concerns that arise. Remember that maintaining a positive rapport with the DEMO team will make meeting your needs an easier (and more pleasant!) job.

Pavilion Hours

Following the close of each general session in the Grande Ballroom where the stage presentations take place, the Pavilion will open to all DEMO attendees, which increases your opportunity to meet all of the attendees! Our audience is counting on you to provide a high-level demonstration of your product during the hours the Pavilion is open. That is why we require that at least one person be present at your station when the Pavilion is open. Make sure you have at least one product specialist, developer or manager, available at the demonstrator station during these times. If someone needs some air, to use the restroom or eat lunch, you must provide a replacement. Lunch will be served in the Pavilion on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Please review the conference schedule for a list of open hours for the Pavilion.

Staffing Hours

Staff and SecurityTo ensure that participants get the most out of their DEMO experience, we’ve designed the conference program so that they are able to participate fully in both the Pavilion activities and regular conference sessions. Because the Pavilion is scheduled to open immediately following the close of the general session, you can expect a rush of attendees when the Pavilion doors open. Be sure your demo is up and running and that someone is at your station, ready to face an eager audience.

Per your Demonstrator Agreement & Contract, you risk being asked to leave the conference should we find your station unmanned at any time. We recommend that a member of your team arrive at least 15 minutes early to work out any last-minute glitches and to ensure that your demo is ready to go each time the Pavilion doors open. It is also very important to test all equipment and internet access during set up on September 21 between 1:00 and 5:00 pm.

Security

A security guard will be posted in the Pavilion (Tented Pavilion) overnight during the conference. Security will not be hired during event days. On main event days, Network World staff will be in the Pavilion during the hours when closed but there will not be security present.

Please be advised that Network World is not responsible for any loss of materials or damage of any Demonstrator materials/property. Show Management strongly encourages you to take the proper steps in order to secure and insure your property at all times.

On the main event days (September 21-23) only badged attendees are allowed to enter the Pavilion when open. The Pavilion is closed to everyone but conference staff between sessions, so please be sure to take everything you need with you. The DEMO team understands the enormous amount of time, money, and dedication that you’ve invested in creating your world-class product, and we are serious about protecting your investment. All demonstrators and attendees must wear their DEMO badge at all times or access to the Pavilion will be denied.

Please make sure to review these additional security guidelines with your staff.
