Onsite Support

DEMO PR Team Onsite Support

Onsite, the DEMO PR team will issue a daily press release highlighting each day's news and program elements. Lisa Peterson and the PR team will also be monitoring the pressroom, facilitating introductions between media, demonstrators and conference organizers, escorting broadcast crews and answering questions. Please look out for them in the DEMO Pavilion (wearing yellow shirts) and let them know how they can help you.

Press Room

A pressroom for working media, Spinnaker, is provided at DEMO and is staffed by members of the DEMO PR team. This room is exclusively for the use of reporters and serves as a quiet place for them to work and file stories. It is not for the use of demonstrators, speakers, sponsors or any other non-media attendees. The pressroom contains information about DEMO and is equipped with resources to help reporters file stories on the emerging technology products launching at the conference.

Press Kits

You are encouraged to provide in the pressroom background information about your company and an overview of your product. This information can take one of two forms: paper-based information or USB drive-based information. Please bring your paper or USB kits to the pressroom on Monday, September 21 following the onsite mandatory demonstrator meeting. We recommend you supply either:

  • 15 paper press kits, or
  • 55 USB drive-based press kits

The above numbers reflect the popularity of the particular press kit formats.  For paper press kits, consider bringing a one-page product fact sheet (the same one you give out in the Pavilion) stapled to your product press release.  You do not need to go to the trouble and expense of a fancy, traditional press kit.  No matter what you decide to do, make sure your company name and/or logo is easily locatable on the top of the information packet – a blank white folder is not helpful to reporters trying to track down information on your company. The DEMO PR team will manage the press kits and will let you know if more are needed in the pressroom; there is no need for you to check on your kits while the conference is underway.

Separately, DEMO suggests you bring 200 to 250 pieces of product literature to distribute from your demonstration station. See Literature page for more information
