Pre-Show Requirements
To participate in the on-stage demonstration, you must take part in two mandatory meetings and complete/submit the on-stage demonstration forms before the conference.
Mandatory meetings
- The first is a short conference call to discuss your technical plans for your stage demo with the DEMO production company. Karyn Williams, Conference Program Manager, will assign you a call-in time for this call and your time will be e-mailed to you a week before the call will take place. You must call in at your assigned time. The calls will take place in late August. All of your technical questions regarding your stage demonstration will be answered at this time.
- The second is your onsite technical rehearsal, taking place at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina. You are required to come to the Grande Ballroom fully prepared to discuss the blocking of your demo with our entire production team. The technical rehearsal is imperative to ensure your on-stage demonstration runs as smoothly as possible. Your exact rehearsal day and time will be assigned in late August. Onsite rehearsals will occur on Sunday, September 20 and Monday, September 21.
Please refer to the Stage Guidelines & FAQs page for more information on the onsite rehearsal process.
The rehearsal will only be required for your staff members in charge of the on-stage demo. The rehearsal day and time will not be distributed until both the stage script and audiovisual form have been received. It is necessary for the technical team to have a good understanding of your requirements, to schedule rehearsals accordingly.
On-stage demonstration script*
* E-mail your on-stage demonstration script to the DEMO Stage Production Team no later than August 17. You must also submit your On-stage presenter audiovisual form no later than August 17.
- On-stage
demonstration script - The script should cover exactly
what you envision for your on-stage demo, from what you want
to say to what you want to do. Upon submitting, your script will
be reviewed during your pre-show conference call with our production
company to ensure you are appropriately prepared for your presentation.
It is perfectly fine for the first draft of the script to be
in outline form only. To
help you complete this task, you can view a finalized scripts
from our previous DEMO conferences - script
example.
- On-stage presenter audiovisual form - The audiovisual equipment order form should contain all necessary equipment/materials you need to make your on-stage demo successful. The DEMO staff needs to know in advance what you will be bringing on stage with you. This will be discussed on your pre-show conference call with our production company.
If you have any questions regarding on-stage presentations at DEMO, contact Karyn Williams, DEMO Conference Program & Speaker Manager, at kkw@k2events.com.
